This hand-illustrated cookbook was a Christmas gift to my son in 2020. When he turned 13 we asked him to cook dinner for the family once a week. After a year of weekly meals he had settled into these favorites that I collected and illustrated for this gift.
From tacos with his signature slaw, to chicken or bean enchiladas to Teriyaki chicken to nachos and very simple ramen with salmon, to pasta Carbonara and Bolognese these are his takes on classics.
This first year of him cooking was not without its challenges–we’ve had plenty of fights and attitude–but little by little his confidence has grown, he obviously has fun doing it and loves getting to choose what to cook!
There was so much interest in this book that I’ve reproduced hard copies, for purchase, as well as a digital file. The spiral binding and heavy stock make it easy to prop up on the counter for easy reference. There a several blank pages at the back for notes and additional recipes you might want to add.
